Civil libertarians and digital rights groups are gearing up to convince more states to adopt biometric privacy laws to regulate how companies deploy facial recognition and other biometrics-based technologies.
The state law basically says you can collect iris scans, fingerprints, voiceprints, facial geometry scans, but you have to get written consent to do so.
